ACIT is very optimistic about the recent changes to immigration laws especially since, for the first time, the Australian Government also published a strategy for a guaranteed pathway to permanent residency namely, a positive Migration Skills Assessment and meeting the earning requirements of $70,000 per annum. ACIT have always had %100 success rate with Skills Assessment and Network Engineers can earn more than $70,000 (as per the https://au.talent.com/en/salary?job=Network+Engineer).
Some of the changes to the Australian Immigration policy are as follows:
– the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) has been replaced by Genuine Student (GS)
– the minimum English requirement has been increased from an IELTS 5.5 to IELTS 6.0 (or its equivalent)
– a guaranteed pathway to permanent residency has been published
– the age restriction for a Temporary Graduate visa 485 will be changed from 50 years old to 35 years old
– increased scrutiny on both onshore and offshore applications where applicants are asked to submit evidence of financials and other supporting documents to show their academic background and work experience (if there are any)
