The Gold Coast has a long and vibrant history of film and television production, and is one of Australia’s leading filming locations. The motivation to establish a dedicated film and TV training institute (IFTV) was based upon the longstanding success of these media industries.
The Institute of Film and Television, a sister college of ACIT, was launched in 1999 after the purchase of an Optus Vision TV studio in Brisbane City.
Our film school provides a professional and creative approach to the study of film and TV and seeks to help students discover their potential as professional artists and communicators. The IFTV Screen & Media program is partnered with industry curriculum and hands-on training with lecturers in real lab environments.
