For over three decades, we have been providing education and industry placement services. ACIT & IFTV is the longest-standing private provider of traineeships to local employers and employees, largely funded by the Australian governments of Queensland and New South Wales. We offer VET student loans for Australians and permanent residents of Australia.
ACIT & IFTV was established in 1993 by our CEO, Mrs. Sonya McGuire, an accomplished business and IT professional with extensive experience in consulting, computer programming, and systems analysis within the private sector and the Northern Territory Government of Australia.
Prior to founding ACIT, Sonya McGuire’s career spanned IT, programming, database systems management, and consultancy, serving notable institutions such as the Northern Territory Government (Department of Transport and Works), Bond University, Gold Coast Hospital, TAFE Queensland, and private sector organizations in the Northern Territory.
Sonya McGuire holds a master’s degree in International Law and is a guest lecturer at Bond University’s Faculty of Law. She is the founder of Sonya McGuire Enterprises (www.sonyamcguire.org) and actively advocates for social reforms and international trade.
Mrs. McGuire is also the founder and Executive Producer/Creative Director of IFTV Studios in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. IFTV Studios specializes in digital media production, social media marketing, graphic design, photography, short film, and digital TV development in both Australia and France.
Through the acquisition of OPTUS VISION in Brisbane, Queensland, in 1998, Sonya McGuire expanded the college’s offerings into new Film and Television industry projects, enriching our education framework and strengthening our commitment to media excellence. The studio, now known as “IFTV Studios”, has produced live-to-air shows for TV in Brisbane and continues to innovate in the digital media landscape.
